Me with my daughter (Taken in 2004).
Anna Kirsten are my two middle names!
Born in London, UK, too long ago to remember, I have lived a life with varied careers, including nursing, conveyancing, musicianship, and finally before retiring, I ran my own business as a locum medical secretary in various medical surgeries and hospitals.
I moved to Dorset in 1970 where I met and married my husband, Richard, who is a keen photographer. Together we compiled some of the first audio-visual productions in combination with other founder members of the Vision 70 section of Wimborne Camera Club. Photography has continued to be a favourite past time for me as and when my health status has permitted.
My interest in art has always been high in priority for me, whether through photography, oil and water painting or, as has been the case for several years, in digital art. Art was one of my top subjects in my school years, always having various pictures of mine on display around the school rooms, but I didn't pursue it as a career as this was thought too "dodgy"! Hence I took up nursing instead! I have until recently, however, continued to dabble in traditional art as a hobby, using oils in preference over other media.
I am also a keen musician and between 1999 and 2002 I produced 5 instrumental meditational CD's, which are still on sale privately and are in use at various Christian centres throughout the UK. They can also be bought through this site
Now that I have retired, I also unfortunately suffer from chronic debilitating illness, which has left me with little that I can do comfortably. For me, this has been digital art, using programs such as Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, Corel Painter, Apophysis and Ultra Fractal (for fractal work), and quite a few others, depending on my requirements at the time. During slightly better periods of my fluctuating health, I also still enjoy photography, using a Canon EOS 400D camera and several different Canon or Sigma lenses, also a couple of Canon Powershot cameras when I'm too weak to use the EOS model.
My artistic speciality now, is that of creating fantasy scenes in the fractal program known as Ultra Fractal. These scenes are totally unique to myself, and cannot be found anywhere else in the world (unless someone has stolen them), so what anyone buys from here will be extra special in that respect. An exception to this statement is, of course, any other selling outlet I choose to be part of!
There is also a section on this site which includes some of my personal poetry and writings in association with some of the images. (some are very deeply Spiritual in nature.)
All the images from this site are available for printing and selling. If there is anything you see here that you would like further information about in that respect, please contact me via my CONTACT PAGE. (A guideline of prices can be found on the PRINTS & PRICES) page. Very high quality archival giclee prints are available in varying sizes from squares, through to A3+ (or in some cases, even A2 by special request), depending on the original resolution used when I created the images.
Finally, we are a Christian family who run a home-group, my husband also being a Church Elder, and we are also believers in Creation by God, controversial as this is, yet to us it makes perfect sense. For the record, I'd also like to note here that towards the end of his life, Darwin himself is said to have excused his theories of evolution as the meanderings of a young enthusiast! His favourite book in those latter days, was the Book of Hebrews from the Bible! I have a feeling that the consequences of those early theories, which have now become religiously accepted world-wide, would have truly made him cringe! We never know what we become responsible for during our individual lives...
